Shine: what we do

Shine is a state-of-the-art, spacious and stylish business and social hub approx 1 mile from Leeds city centre. Shine offers fantastic shared and serviced office space; boutiquestyle conference, meetings and events facilities; and the added opportunity to meet-up and socialise.

Social enterprise

Shine is an example of innovative social enterprise at work. At least 91% of the profits of Shine are re-invested in supporting entrepreneurs in some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in Leeds.  Most importantly though we’re helping to put Harehills back on the map and ensure that the local community will benefit.

Regenerating Harehills

Having lain empty for nearly two decades, the Grade II-listed Harehills Middle School was a symbol of the economic disadvantages of Harehills, one of the UK’s most deprived neighbourhoods. The vision for Shine began in 2005 when the founding partners of Camberwell visited the site and realised the potential to create a lasting legacy of entrepreneurial success for the community, that would attract investment.
