Free Training on Managing for Creativity from Leeds University - May 26th

Dr Paul Ellwood Innovation Impact Evaluation Manager at Leeds University Business School Wednesday 26th May
This workshop will be a mixture of presentations and exercises organised around three themes:
• • •
Understanding your own creative style Gaining Awareness of the creative climate within your organisation Acquiring the skills and knowledge to facilitate creative thinking
Creativity in the workplace is a problem for many people. At best it is seen as belonging to sectors allied to the Arts, such as graphic design companies; at worst it is associated with doing “wacky” things or “dress-down Fridays”. Through his experience of working with managers across many sectors from manufacturing to finance to the health services, Dr Paul Ellwood believes that an ability to think afresh about familiar problems, and respond imaginatively to new challenges, is one shared by all managers in all organisations.
In this workshop, Dr Paul Ellwood will talk about managing for creativity, rather than the management of creativity, and aim to provide you with both conceptual tools to understand creativity in the workplace, and practical tools to make it reality.
